A Little Artwork In These Difficult, Fucked Up, Broken Possibly Forever Times
I don't know about all of you, but this nightmarish timeline that we're all trapped in right now hasn't been very good for my creativity. I open up a document, and I get ready to write something, but... the tank is empty. The part of my brain that does the heavy lifting of plotting and building characters and just getting my fingers to press on the fucking buttons of the keyboard and write something isn't working well these days. I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm talking about.
However, weirdly, the part of my brain that likes doing digital art has just been going crazy, and won't shut up and take a break. It's all "paint this" or "render that" or "put that thing in Photoshop and play with some curves for an hour or two." I don't know what that's all about, but hey: at least I'm doing something creatively productive right now, which is a gift horse in whose mouth I am not going to look.
Recently, a friend of mine asked if I had any images online that she could check out of what art I'm making, and so I thought I'd put a few up here for her (and anybody else who comes through here) to have a look at. I'm sure I'll add a few from time to time, but I won't go crazy with it, I don't think. I like to keep my Bearblog stuff heavily text-based, unlike the Wordpress version that I've got floating out there in the world, which is more heavily image-based. Different places in my brain, you dig?
Hang in there, everyone.
Here's some art for you.
