Psycho Kitty (qu'est-ce que c'est!)

We have a psycho kitty. He’s always been a psycho kitty. We thought he always would be a psycho kitty.
Except.
Since moving to the woods, he has mellowed considerably. He was never a mean cat, just prone to panic attacks and freaking out over… well, things. Here is a partial list of causes of his freakouts:
- The dog
- Loud noises
- People walking by
- Strong winds
- Dust
- Shadows
- Sunlight
Recently though, we’ve noticed him chilling out. He will lay on my chest and I don’t fear him clawing my face off when he panics about the barometric pressure or the price of oil. He will stand next to the dog without bolting like the Tasmanian Devil from the room. Human sneezes do not terrify him. The hiss of a soda bottle opening does not make him run up your leg like a lineman climbing a pole.
I do not know who broke in and secretly replaced our psycho cat with a more mellow version. But I’m happy about it nonetheless.
